Refik Osman Top (born Refik Osman, 1 January 1897 â€“ 26 April 1957), known by his nickname Åžiir –literally meaning ''the Poem''–, was a Turkish footballer, referee, coach and sports columnist. Eşref Selim Soydan (born 14 November 1941) was a Turkish association football, football player of rivals Beşiktaş J.K. and Fenerbahçe S.K. (football team), Fenerbahçe. He played as a defender. Biography Soydan was born on 14 November 1941 in Beşiktaş, Istanbul. He scored 2 goals in 22 matches for Beşiktaş between 1959 and 1961 and scored 22 goals in 170 matches for Fenerbahçe between 1961 and 1971. Can Bartu
Can Bartu (31 January 1936 – 11 April 2019) was a Turkish basketball and football player of Circassian origin. He was the first Turkish footballer to play a final in Europe. His statue was erected in Istanbul. After retirement, he also worked as a pundit and sports journalist. Personal life Bartu was considered a "legendary" footballer, and was nicknamed the "Sinyor" (from Italian "Signor" for nobleman). After his retirement, he wrote columns long time for the daily ''Hürriyet''. Can Bartu died at the age of 83 on 11 April 2019. Hakkı Yeten, (3 December 1910 – 16 April 1989) was a Turkish football (soccer), football player and president of the İstanbul-based football club Beşiktaş J.K., which he also coached. He is one of the most important names in Beşiktaş history. He made Beşiktaş strong in character and club basis and has many records. He is still the football player who scored the most goals in Beşiktaş's history and scored the most in Big Three (Turkey), derbies. Istanbul Football League
The Istanbul Football League ( tr, İstanbul Futbol Ligi) was founded as a regional football league under the name Constantinople Football Association League by James La Fontaine and Henry Pears in Istanbul, the capital of the former Ottoman Empire, in 1904. The Istanbul League was the first football organization ever in the Ottoman Empire and later Turkey. In the inaugural 1904–05 season the matches between the four teams, Moda FC, HMS Imogene, Elpis FC, and Cadi-Keuy FC were played on Sundays, leading to the name of the league, Istanbul Sunday League.
