Lefter Küçükandonyadis
Lefter Küçükandonyadis (, ''Lefteris Antoniadis''; 22 December 1924 – 13 January 2012) was a Turkish professional footballer of Greek descent, who played as a forward. He is often recognized as one of the greatest strikers to play for Fenerbahçe and Turkey. Having won several regional and national championship titles with Fenerbahçe and becoming Turkish top scorer twice in his career, he left an imprint on the history of the club. Lefter is one of a few players whose names are included in the Fenerbahçe Anthem. He was also known as ''"Ordinaryüs"'' (professor of professors) in Turkey. Club career Lefter started his footballing career on Büyükada (an island in Istanbul) but professionally played first with Taksim SK, a club based in the European part of Istanbul. Büyükada
Büyükada (, rendered ''Prinkipos'' or ''Prinkipo''), meaning "Big Island" in Turkish, is the largest of the Princes' Islands in the Sea of Marmara, near Istanbul, with an area of about . It is made up of the Maden and Nizam neighbourhoods in the Adalar (''Islands'') district of Istanbul, Istanbul Province, Turkey. Sivasspor Kulübü, known as Net Global Sivasspor due to sponsorship reasons, is a Turkish sports club based in Sivas. The primary department of the club is men's football. Formed in 1967, its football department has competed in Süper Lig since the 2017–18 season. The Istanbul Football League () was founded as a regional association football, football league under the name Constantinople Football Association League by James La Fontaine and Henry Pears in Istanbul, the capital of the former Ottoman Empire, in 1904. The Istanbul League was the first football organization ever in the Ottoman Empire and later Turkey. In the inaugural 1904–05 season the matches between the four teams, Moda F.C., Moda FC, HMS Imogene F.C., HMS Imogene, Elpis F.C., Elpis FC, and Cadi-Keuy F.C., Cadi-Keuy FC were played on Sundays, leading to the name of the league, Istanbul Sunday League. The Süper Lig (, ''Super League''), also known as Trendyol Süper Lig for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Turkey and the highest level of the Turkish football league system. In the 2023–2024 season, twenty clubs compete, where a champion is decided and three clubs are promotion and relegation, promoted from, and another four relegated to the TFF First League, 1. Lig. The National Division or National League () was a top-level football competition organised by the Turkish Football Federation, including the most successful teams from Istanbul, Ankara, and İzmir in Turkey. It was the first national league in Turkish football history. The league was played from 1937 to 1950. "Yaşa Fenerbahçe" or "Viva Fenerbahçe" (also known as the "Anthem of Fenerbahçe" or the "Fenerbahçe March" (), is the official anthem of Fenerbahçe. The official recorded 1974 version of the anthem by Nesrin Sipahi is mandatorily played and sung in the home stadium before every match with the opponents listening, regardless of the branch. It was written by Fenerbahçe's former goalkeeper Fecri Ebcioğlu. Content In 1974, Fenerbahçe had won four cups only in football, and many more in other branches.
