Ben Nicholas is an Australian actor, known for playing Scott "Stingray" Timmins in the Australian soap opera ''Neighbours''. Early and personal life Raised in Adelaide, South Australia, Nicholas lives in Melbourne, Australia. Nicholas is married to Stephanie Lilja. Their first child was born on 23 June 2022. Career Nicholas played the character of Stingray Timmins on the Australian soap opera ''Neighbours''. His final performance as Stingray aired on 23 March 2007. Nicholas travelled from Australia to the UK to perform pantomimes over the Christmas period. In December 2006, he performed at the Marlowe Theatre, in Canterbury, Kent, as Jack in ''Jack and the Beanstalk''. He performed in ''Cinderella'' in the Gordon Craig Theatre in Stevenage from 1 December 2007 until 27 January 2008. Stingray Timmins
Scott "Stingray" Timmins is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera ''Neighbours'', played by Ben Nicholas. He made his first screen appearance during the episode broadcast on 11 March 2004. Stingray was introduced as Toadfish Rebecchi's (Ryan Moloney) cousin. The role earned Nicholas a Logie Award nomination for Best New Talent. Casting In 2004, it was announced that Ben Nicholas had joined ''Neighbours''. He began filming his first scenes three days after learning he had secured the role following an audition. Nicholas relocated from Adelaide to Melbourne to be closer to the show's studios. The Artful Dodger
Jack Dawkins, better known as the Artful Dodger, is a character in Charles Dickens's 1838 novel '' Oliver Twist''. The Dodger is a pickpocket, so called for his skill and cunning in that occupation. He is the leader of the gang of child criminals on the streets of London, trained by the elderly Fagin. The term has become an idiom describing a person with skilful deception. Role in the novel In the novel, he becomes Oliver's closest friend (although he betrays Oliver when Oliver is caught) and he tries to make him a pickpocket, but soon realises that Oliver will not succeed, and feels sorry for him, saying "What a pity it is he isn't a prig!" The Logie Awards (officially the TV Week Logie Awards; colloquially known as The Logies) is an annual gathering to celebrate Australian television, sponsored and organised by the magazine ''TV Week''. Marlowe Theatre
The Marlowe Theatre is a 1,200-seat theatre in Canterbury named after playwright Christopher Marlowe, who was born and attended school in the city. It was named a Stage Awards, 2022 UK Theatre of the Year. The Marlowe Trust, a not for profit company and registered charity, operates the theatre. ''9 to 5: The Musical'' is a musical based on the 1980 film of the same name, with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton. It features a book by Patricia Resnick, based on the screenplay by Resnick and Colin Higgins. The musical premiered in Los Angeles in September 2008, and opened on Broadway in April 2009. It received 15 Drama Desk Award nominations, the most received by a production in a single year, as well as four Tony Awards nominations.
