Ben Damon
Ben Damon (born 24 October 1980) is an Australian journalist, TV presenter and screenwriter/director. Damon is a TV host who has presented on Foxtel's Olympic coverage, ''Sunrise'', ''Weekend Today'', Sky News Australia, Sky Racing and Fox Sports. Damon is the face and voice of Main Event's pay-per-view television boxing coverage. Prior to his resignation, Damon presented the weeknight 6pm sport report for Sydney's edition of ''Seven News''. Damon also presented the Nine Network's horse racing coverage and was previously on '' Sports Tonight'' on Network Ten. Damon is a filmmaker. His debut feature film won Best Documentary at the London International Film Festival amongst other awards. Damon is a popular master of ceremonies with the Australian Turf Club and other organisations. Australian Turf Club (ATC) owns and operates thoroughbred racing, events and hospitality venues across Sydney, Australia. The ATC came into being on 7 February 2011 when the Australian Jockey Club (AJC) and the Sydney Turf Club (STC) merged. Nick McArdle is an Australian TV sports presenter with a career spanning 20 years in the media industry. He was previously weekend sports presenter for ''Seven News'' in Sydney for a number of years. Career McArlde began his career in sports reporting on country television at Port Pirie, South Australia, before moving into radio on the Austereo network in Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney. He then presented the sport report on the (now cancelled) ''Seven News, Seven Late News'', and hosted ''Sunrise (Australian TV program), Sunrise'' as a fill-in presenter. Over the summer of 2005, McArdle presented ''Seven News, Seven Morning News'' as a fill-in presenter. Matthew White (born 16 April 1970) is an Australian sports broadcaster, television executive, television presenter and journalist at Network 10, where he returned to in 2014. He has previously been Network 10's Head of Sport and host of the motorsports panel show ''RPM''. ''Sports Tonight'' is an Australian sports news and information program, hosted by Roz Kelly. The original series, which was developed by executive producer Steve Tucker, aired between 1993 and 2011, before it was revived in 2018 and axed again in 2020. History Original run The show ran from 1993 to 2011. From 1993 until 2005, the show ran for half an hour on each weeknight after '' Ten Late News''. The two shows merged in 2006, but there was some criticism by viewers that ''Sports Tonight'' was not long enough, and that it should have remained the same. However, the Friday edition of ''Sports Tonight'' remained separate in order to recap that night's football results.
