Belzma National Park
The Belezma National Park (Arabic:الحظيرة الوطنية بلزمة) is one of the most important national parks of Algeria. It is located in Batna Province on the slopes of the Belezma Range, a subrange of the Aurès Mountains. Description Created in 1984, it stretches over an area of 262.5 km, the climate ranges from a cool subhumid climate to a dry semi-arid climate, it contains 447 species of flora (14% of the national total) and 309 species of fauna, of which 59 are protected species. The main summits of the range in the park area are 2,136 m high Djebel Tichaou and the 2,178 m high Djebel Refaâ, the highest peak of the Belezma Range. The biosphere consists of rich mosaic habitats such as pastures, forests, grasslands, thickets, mountain's feet, rivers and mines. The biosphere reserve also includes several historical sites, caves and tombs, which represent traces of ancient civilizations. Belezma
The Belezma Range, also transliterated as Belzma ( ar, بلزمة), is a prolongation of the Aurès Mountains, at the confluence of the Tell Atlas and the Saharan Atlas in northeastern Algeria. It is separated from the main Aurès Range by the Batna-El Kantara basin. Geography and vegetation The ridge is roughly aligned in an E-W direction. It is located at the western end of the Aurès Range, with the Hodna Mountains to the west. The highest peak, at , is the Djebel Refâa. Other important peaks are high Djebel Tichaou and Djebel Touggourt (meaning 'Cedar Peak'). The Belezma Range has one of the most important natural Atlas Cedar forests of Algeria. Djebel Refaâ

Djebel (1937–1958) was a French Thoroughbred racehorse, who won 15 of 22 races during 1939–1942 including the Prix d'Essai, 2000 Guineas and Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. He was later a leading sire in France and is responsible for the survival of the Byerley Turk sire line into the 21st century. Breeding Djebel was a bay stallion owned and bred by renowned horseman Marcel Boussac. Flora is all the plant life present in a particular region or time, generally the naturally occurring (indigenous) native plants. In biology, a species is the basic unit of classification and a taxonomic rank of an organism, as well as a unit of biodiversity.
