Bellary Raghava (Telugu: బళ్ళారి రాఘవ; born ''Tadipatri Raghavacharyulu''; 2 August 1880 – 16 April 1946) was an Indian playwright and actor, known for his works predominantly in Telugu theatre and cinema.M.L. Narasimharao (2002) ''Nooruguru Telugu Pramukhulu''. Vepachedu Educational Foundation Inc. His uncle Dharmavaram Ramakrishnamacharyulu was a pioneering dramatist in Telugu, and initiated him on the stage. Raghava was also associated with another dramatist from Bellary, Kolachalam Srinivasa Rao. Bellary, officially known as Ballari (pronounced ), is a major district in Karnataka. It is located at north-eastern part of Karnataka. This district belongs to Kalyana-Karnataka. This district was one of the biggest districts in Karnataka until the Vijayanagara district was carved out of Ballari district in 2021 officially. Kolachalam Srinivasa Rao
Kolachalam Srinivasa Rao ( Telugu: కోలాచలం శ్రీనివాసరావు) (13 March 1854 – 23 June 1919) was a dramatist from Bellary, India. A pleader and a non-professional theatre practitioner from Bellary, Srinivasa Rao belonged to the family of Mallinatha Suri, the world-famous writer acclaimed as ''Vyakyatha Shiromani''. Srinivasa Rao became famous after publishing the English translation of ''Prapancha Nataka Charitra (The Dramatic History of the World)'' (Vanivilasa Press, Bellary) in 1908. In childhood, he was accomplished in Sanskrit and Telugu and was familiar with Kannada. His second elder brother Kolachalam Venkata Rao was a lawyer and in a high position, who was later elected as a member of the Madras Assembly.
