Believer (band)
Believer is an American technical thrash metal band from the late 1980s and early 1990s, that plays a hybrid of thrash and progressive metal. Believer is known for its innovative use of symphonic elements in thrash metal, featuring some of the earliest examples of symphonic metal.Wagner 2010, p. 155 Their lyrics deal with topics of philosophy, theology and social issues. The two primary members of the band are vocalist/bassist/guitarist Kurt Bachman and drummer Joey Daub, who were joined by several others after their 1989 debut album, '' Extraction from Mortality''. The band was jointly signed to Roadrunner Records, and the Christian label R.E.X. Music. According to Allmusic, several mainstream magazines praised the second album ''Sanity Obscure''. The title track of ''Sanity Obscure'' was covered by Andrew Hulshult for the video-game ''Doom'' as the track "On the Hunt". The band toured the US and Europe with Bolt Thrower the following year. Andrew Hulshult
Andrew Hulshult is an American video game music composer and sound designer. He is best known for his work with 3D Realms as well as his scores for several first-person shooters, such as Dusk (video game), ''Dusk'', ''Quake Champions'', and ''Doom Eternal''. Career Hulshult is based in Dallas, Texas, where he has lived since childhood. He started in the industry composing for a ''Duke Nukem 3D'' remake that would eventually be canceled. Interceptor Entertainment CEO Frederik Schreiber wanted a Heavy metal music, heavy metal soundtrack for the game and described Hulshult's demos as "by far the best they had received." That relationship eventually led to Hulshult scoring the 2013 remake of ''Rise of the Triad''. Howard Jones (born July 20, 1970) is an American metalcore vocalist best known as the former lead singer of Killswitch Engage and Blood Has Been Shed. He is the current vocalist of Light the Torch, formerly known as Devil You Know, and SION with YouTuber/guitarist Jared Dines. Career Jones started making music in the underground band Driven in 1996, releasing a single album. He later performed with Blood Has Been Shed from 1997 to 2004. Deron John Miller is an American musician and songwriter. He is best known as the former lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of rock band CKY, which he co-founded in 1998. Living Sacrifice
Living Sacrifice is an American Christian metal band formed in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1989. The band has released eight studio albums, out of which the first three were recorded under R.E.X. Records with their original vocalist Darren Johnson as a more thrash metal and death metal oriented band. The band evolved into a groove metal and metalcore style beginning with ''Reborn'' (1997) under Solid State Records with the original guitarist Bruce Fitzhugh on vocals. William Rocky Gray (born July 2, 1974) is a drummer and guitarist who has been part of the Arkansas metal scene since the early 1990s. He is best known as a former drummer of the rock band Evanescence from 2003-2007.
