Basketligan
Svenska Basketligan, or the Swedish Basketball League (SBL), is the premier league for professional basketball in Sweden. The league was originally established in 1992 as Basketligan and was known as that prior to the season of 2006–07, but when the Swedish company Obol Investment signed an agreement with the Swedish Basketball Federation in early October 2006, the league was renamed Obol Basketball League (OBL). In January 2007 the name was changed to Ligan, meaning simply the League. History On October 6, 2006, the Swedish Basketball Federation signed a 15-year agreement with Swiss company Obol Investment. Part of the deal was that ''Basketligan'' would be renamed ''Obol Basketball League''. Other parts of the deal include that the winning team would receive prize money if the team were to play in the EuroLeague during the following season. Keith Andre Wright (born July 22, 1989) is an American professional basketball player for Stade Rochelais of the LNB Pro B. He played college basketball for Harvard. High school career Wright attended Princess Anne High School and Norfolk Collegiate School, where he graduated from. As a senior, he averaged 20.5 points, 13.0 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game. In high school, Wright was a two-time All-State selection. College career Freshman season In Wright's freshman season, he appeared in 24 games, including 17 starts. He averaged 8.0 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per game. He was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week twice. Sophomore season Wright appeared in 24 games, starting in 18. 08 Stockholm Human Rights is a Swedish basketball club located in Stockholm that has a men's and women's team. The club was established in 1996 when two of the most successful basketball associations, Alvik BK (established 1956) and the South YMCA Basketball (established 1949), collaborated to form 08 Stockholm. The reason for the name of "Human Rights" is because of the club's active social commitment to using basketball as a tool to work against racism, for social inclusion and to educate their players and leaders in the club's core values. Since their inception in 1996–97, the club has been very successful with both their men's and women's teams winning the league championship in 2001. The women's team has subsequently won three national championships (2003, 2007, 2010) since then, while the men's team previously won the inaugural Swedish-Finnish league championship in 1999. Kodi Jerome Augustus (born November 2, 1987) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for Mississippi State. High school career Augustus originally attended Tara High School in his hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana before transferring to Willowridge High School in Houston, Texas for his junior season. As a junior in 2005–06, he averaged 16.9 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game as he earned first-team All-District 20-5A honors. James Miller (basketball)
James Isaac "J. J." Miller, Jr. (born August 23, 1979) is an American professional basketball player. He played overseas since 2001 and has played in multiple countries, including France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Sweden. Since 2012 he is a Borås Basket player and one of the top players in the Swedish Basketligan. He started his professional career in the Netherlands with Landstede Basketbal in 2001. After that period he played with Brest of the French LNB Pro B and in his home country for the Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs. He also played for the Sundsvall Dragons from 2004 till 2005. In the 2005–06 season he played with Demon Astronauts Amsterdam and won the NBB Cup with Amsterdam. He was one of the top scorers in the Eredivisie with 17.6 points per game. Keith Benjamin Ramsey (born March 5, 1980 Inglewood, California) is a former professional baseball player who played from 2002 to 2012. Family Keith Ramsey is the son of Chris and Florann Ramsey. Chris is an attorney and lifelong surfer. Keith has a sister named Allie and a brother named Timmy. Keith's uncle, John Ramsey, was the public address announcer of the Los Angeles Dodgers starting in 1958 until his retirement in 1982. He died in 1990. Besides baseball, Keith's Uncle John also announced Lakers basketball, Rams and Raiders football, Kings hockey and USC football. High school career Ramsey attended Loyola High School of Los Angeles. Borås Basket is a professional basketball club based in the Swedish town of Borås. The club was founded in 1952 and currently compete in the Swedish Basketball League (SBL), the country's premier league.
