Barry Ryan (footballer)
Barry Ryan (born 28 August 1978, in Ennis) is a retired Irish football goalkeeper who last played for Limerick in the League of Ireland Premier Division. He made his League of Ireland debut for UCD away to Sligo Rovers on 15 February 1997. Barry's previous clubs include Dublin City, Shamrock Rovers and UCD. He made his Rovers debut on 11 April 2003 keeping a clean sheet against Drogheda United but was sacked by Shamrock Rovers later that season after testing positive for cocaine. During his time with Rovers he made 4 European appearances keeping one clean sheet playing in the UEFA Intertoto-Cup and made a total of 28 appearances. After a 9-month ban he returned with Dublin City but could not forestall the Vikings' relegation and was dropped in favour of Robbie Horgan for the final handful of games. Ennis () is the county town of County Clare, in the mid-west of Ireland. The town lies on the River Fergus, north of where the river widens and enters the Shannon Estuary. The Munster Senior Cup is an association football cup competition organized by the Munster Football Association. FAI Super Cup
The FAI Super Cup was an association football super cup featuring clubs from the Republic of Ireland. It was played for between 1998 and 2001. It was a pre-season tournament played in the summer before the regular League of Ireland season began. The same four clubs that qualified to represent the Republic of Ireland in UEFA competitions also qualified for the Super Cup. League of Ireland clubs had previously played in a similar competition known as the Top Four Cup. A similar competition, the LFA President's Cup, co-existed with the FAI Super Cup. Robbie Horgan
Robbie Horgan (born 7 June 1968) is an Irish former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Career Born in Dublin, Horgan started his career at Shamrock Rovers, making his League of Ireland debut on 14 April 1987. He was the last goalkeeper to play for Shamrock Rovers at Glenmalure Park (Milltown) in a game that decided the League of Ireland B Division title in 1987. He then moved to Drogheda United in 1988 making his debut on 4 September in a 2–1 home win over Bray Wanderers. He kept 12 clean sheets in 26 league games as Drogheda won the League of Ireland First Division title in 1989. In the 1990/1991 season Horgan kept 15 clean sheets as Drogheda again won the First Division. After four and a half years at United Park he then moved to Shelbourne in November 1992.
