Baranagore Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama High School
Baranagore Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama High School (H.S.) (BRKMAHS; , ) is a senior secondary boys' school in the district North 24 Parganas of West Bengal, India. The school was founded in 1912, and is located at the northern outskirt of Kolkata, on the banks of the river Ganges (Hoogly). The school is run by the Baranagar Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Authority under the guidance of Ramakrishna Mission at Belur Math (taken over in 1924). Based on its performance of the students in the Xth standard board examination, the school is considered one of the very best schools in West Bengal. Baranagar metro station is a metro railway station off Barrackpore Trunk Road at Dunlop of Baranagar in Kolkata. Presently, this metro station is the tallest metro station of Kolkata (approximately 55 feet). The metro station adjoins the platforms of the Baranagar Road railway station where connections can be made with Indian Railways services. This station is also known as "Swami Vivekananda metro station". The station was inaugurated on 22 February 2021. Noapara Metro Station is the largest station of the Kolkata Metro Line 1 situated in Noapara, Baranagar. It opened on 10 July 2013. These include four platforms with lengths of 182 meters, unlike other Kolkata Metro stations. It serves the localities of Noapara, Tobin Road and Bonhooghly.
