Banpo-dong
Banpo-dong is a '' dong'', neighborhood of Seocho-gu, the greater Gangnam area in Seoul, South Korea. Banpo-dong is divided into five different dong which are Banpobon-dong, Banpo 1-dong, 2-dong, 3-dong and 4-dong. The neighborhood is just north of Express Bus Terminal station and to the south of the Han River. Some of the apartment buildings were built in the late 1970s but the area is considered affluent due to its central location within Seoul, proximity to the Han River Park, shopping malls, and mass transit transportation options. This area is also specialized for education, since banpo-shopping-center contains numerous educational academies of the greater Gangnam area. Seocho-gu
Seocho District () is one of the 25 '' gu'' (local government districts) which make up the city of Seoul, South Korea. Seocho is generally referred to as a part of Greater Gangnam Area, along with Gangnam District. As of 2022, Seocho District ranks as the richest neighborhood in South Korea and among the most expensive areas in Seoul with an average sales price of 47.75 million South Korean won per 3.3 square meters. South Korea's rich are concentrated in the three Gangnam districts including Seocho, known as Gangnam School District Eight(강남 8학군). Seocho District is served by the Seoul Subway Line 2, Line 3, Line 4, Line 7, Bundang Line, Line 9, and Shinbundang Line. South Korea's longest highway, Gyeongbu Expressway, ends here. Seorae Village
Seorae Village, sometimes nicknamed "Montmartre", due to its hilltop location, or sometimes "French Village", is a small, affluent French enclave in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It is home to about 560 French people, roughly 40% of the French community in South Korea. Most of them are employees of French corporations doing business in the country. The majority (370) of the French population are children. The village began to form there in 1985, with the movement of Lycée Français de Séoul to the area. The school, the city's only French international school, had formerly been located just north of the Han River in Hannam-dong, a large international neighborhood. French people with children followed, as did bakeries and wine shops. The village is the site of a 20,000 m2 park, "Montmartre Park", which is often the site of public events for foreigners. National Library Of Korea
The National Library of Korea is located in Seoul, South Korea and was established in 1945. It houses over 10 million volumes, including over 1,134,000 foreign books and some of the National Treasures of South Korea. It was relocated within Seoul, from Sogong-dong, Jung-gu to Namsan-dong in 1974, and again to the present location at Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, in 1988. It was transferred from the Ministry of Education to the Ministry of Culture in 1991. National Library of Korea History Libraries in Korea came into being due to the major influence Western ideologies had on Korea as well as Japanese Colonialism. Both of these influences began the modernization of Korea. The first denomination of the library was officially established in 1906 by Lee Keun-sang, Lee Beom-gu and Yoon Chi-ho. Banpo Station
Banpo Station is a metro station on Seoul Subway Line 7 located in Jamwon-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul. Despite its name, the station is not located in Banpo-dong, but instead in Jamwon. It has 6 entrances that they are all right side entrance and they have screen doors right before entering the train. It takes 4~8 minutes between 2 trains and next stations are Nonhyeon and Seoul Express Bus Terminal. It is only 500m long between Banpo station and two other Stations next to it. Dulwich College Seoul (DCSL; ko, 덜위치칼리지서울영국학교) is a British international school in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, South Korea. Sinnonhyeon Station
Sinnonhyeon Station is a railway station on Line 9 and the Shinbundang Line of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway, located by the Kyobo Tower sageori in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
