Bangladesh Army Football Team ( bn, বাংলাদেশ সেনাবাহিনী ফুটবল দল), is an association football based in Dhaka, Bangladesh that competes in the National Football Championship, which is the main national district tournament in the country. They also participate in the Independence Cup and previously played in the Federation Cup. The Army team consists of players who play professionally in the Bangladesh Premier League, Championship League, Dhaka League and the lower tiers of Dhaka football, while still being a member of the Bangladesh Army. The Bangladesh Army Stadium (formerly the Ershad Army Stadium) is a multi-purpose stadium in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The 2021 Independence Cup also known as Riviera Independence Cup 2021 due to the sponsorship from Riviera. It was the 11th edition of the Independence Cup (Bangladesh), Independence Cup, the main domestic annual top tier clubs Association football, football tournament organized by Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF). Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited Dhaka, founded in 1936 at Dhaka, is one of the oldest and one of the most popular football clubs in Bangladesh, with a support base in all parts of the country. The club currently plays in the Bangladesh Premier League. History The clubs journey began in Hazaribagh. Members of the famed Nawab family of Dhaka wanted to establish a local club for the youth. 2020 Bangabandhu National Football Championship
The 2020 Bangabandhu National Football Championship, also known as 2020 Walton National Football Championship (due to sponsorship reason from Walton Group), is the 24th edition of the National Football Championship, the premier competition in Bangladesh for teams representing districts and government institutions. It is organized and hosted by the Bangladesh Football Federation. A total of 78 participants nation-wide will participate in the tournament.
