Bandar Mahkota Cheras
Bandar Mahkota Cheras is a township in Cheras, Selangor, Malaysia. It was developed by Narajaya Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Lion Group. Construction commenced in late 1999 or early 2000 on a freehold plot of about 365 hectares. Mostly consisting of two-storey terraced houses, the population is estimated to be in excess of 50,000 in more than 10,000 households. There are also a few smaller developments by other developers in the same township, e.g., Cheras Vista and Pinggiran Mahkota Cheras. It is located in the mukim (sub-district) of Cheras, daerah (district) of Hulu Langat and state of Selangor. It is under the administration of local council Majlis Perbandaran Kajang (MPKj). Amenities The main commercial center in the middle of the township, called the Mahkota Walk, has many clinics, restaurants, internet cafe, convenience shops, and hardware shops. Balakong ( Jawi: بالقوڠ; ) or Cheras South ( Jawi: چراس سلتن; ) is a township in Hulu Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia. Located to the southeast of Greater Kuala Lumpur, the township consists mainly of residential condominiums, office complexes and factories. Notable landmarks in Balakong include AEON Mall Cheras Selatan and Sin Ann Meow Temple (星安庙). History Name According to local Chinese residents, the name Balakong comes from the Chinese New Village, Balakong Chinese New Village. The village was drawn up and barred-wired by the British Empire under the Briggs Plan during the Malayan Emergency. Another belief is that there was a river running through the village named Sungai Balak and that the village adopted the river's name. Hulu Langat
Hulu Langat District is a district located in the southeastern corner of Selangor, between Kuala Lumpur and Negeri Sembilan. It is bordered by the state of Pahang to the east and north, Gombak district to the north-west, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and Petaling district to the west, Sepang district to the south-west, and state of Negeri Sembilan to the south. Majlis Perbandaran Kajang
Kajang Municipal Council (Malay: ''Majlis Perbandaran Kajang'', Jawi: مجليس ڤربندرن كاجڠ) is the local government authority serving Hulu Langat District in Selangor, Malaysia. Bandar Sungai Long
Bandar Sungai Long is a main township in Cheras, Selangor, Malaysia. Bandar Sungai Long was designed for a population of 10,000 residents. The majority population in this township are Chinese with a minority of Indians and Malays living in this township. The Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) operates a campus in Sungai Long. It is currently under the administration of local council Majlis Perbandaran Kajang (MPKj). The Sungai Long Golf & Country Club is situated in this township. It was built around the "leisure" living theme with residential homes surrounding an 18-hole golf course. High end detached houses were built around the golf course with semi-detached and terraced residential dwellings alongside condominiums, commercial properties and low cost low rise apartments on the outer edges of the development.
