Baltic Hockey League
The Baltic Hockey League ( et, Balti Hokiliiga; lv, Baltijas hokeja līga; lt, Baltijos lygos) is a professional ice hockey competition based in the Baltic states featuring club teams from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The competition was founded in 2018, and the first edition of the competition began in November, 2020. History In the early 2000s the Baltic League was formed and featured teams from the three Baltic states. The inaugural competition was won by Latvian side HK Liepājas Metalurgs, following which the competition was not held again. The Baltic Cup was held during the 2004–05 season, and also introduced a team from neighbouring Poland, this competition also only lasted one season, and marked the end of regional club competition in the Baltic states. Ice Hockey
Ice hockey (or simply hockey) is a team sport played on ice skates, usually on an ice skating rink with lines and markings specific to the sport. It belongs to a family of sports called hockey. In ice hockey, two opposing teams use ice hockey sticks to control, advance and shoot a closed, vulcanized, rubber disc called a " puck" into the other team's goal. Each goal is worth one point. Red Pog

Lõunakeskus ('Southern Center') is a shopping and entertainment complex in Tartu, Estonia. It is the biggest shopping center in South Estonia. HC Everest
HC Everest Kohtla-Järve is an ice hockey team located in Kohtla-Järve, Estonia, and playing in the Coolbet Hokiliiga, the top tier of ice hockey in Estonia. They play home games at the Kohtla-Järve Ice Hall. History HC Everest were founded in 2011, and since 2013 have played, sporadically, in the Meistriliiga. Originally playing under the name of Everest Kohtla-Järve, the team changed their name to HC Everest Kohtla-Järve in 2020. In 2020 HC Everest took part in the inaugural Baltic Hockey League, a competition made up of two teams from each of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Tartu Kalev-Välk
Tartu Välk 494 is an ice hockey team located in Tartu, Estonia, and playing in the Coolbet Hokiliiga, the top tier of ice hockey in Estonia. They play home games at the Lõunakeskus Ice Hall. History Tartu Välk 494 was founded in April 1994, and the team won their first Meistriliiga Championship in 1997. Since then, team have gone on to win the league a further 10 times, with the most recent victory coming in 2020. In addition, they have twice won the now-defunct Estonian Cup, in 1997 and 1998. HK Liepāja
HK Liepāja are a Latvian professional ice hockey team that plays in the Optibet Hockey League, the top tier of the sport in Latvia. The team is based in Liepāja and play their home games at the Liepājas Olimpiskā Centra ice hall. History Hokeja Klubs Liepāja was founded in 2014, following the collapse of the previous team in the city; HK Liepājas Metalurgs folded as a result of their title sponsor, Liepājas Metalurgs, pulling funding as a result of financial difficulties steming from the Great Recession.
