Balls (Sparks Album)
''Balls'' is the 18th album by the American rock band Sparks, released in 2000. ''Balls'' was a continuation of the techno-pop style that the duo had first explored on 1994's '' Gratuitous Sax & Senseless Violins'', but employed harder, more uptempo beats, as well as a direct, aggressive approach derived from acts such as The Prodigy. The album was packaged in a translucent jewel case that came in a variety of colours (red, yellow, green, blue, orange, black, and turquoise), with a reflective die-cut silver slipcase. "It's a Knockoff" was recorded for the movie ''Knock Off'', starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, directed by the acclaimed Hong Kong based producer/director Tsui Hark (who had appeared on his own tribute song by the band on ''Gratuitous Sax & Senseless Violins''). It is featured over the closing credits. ''Knock Off'' is a 1998 action film directed by Tsui Hark and starring Jean-Claude Van Damme and Rob Schneider. The film was released in the United States on September 4, 1998. The title is a double entendre, as the term colloquially refers to both counterfeit goods as well as targeted killing. The film is one of the last in the world to feature Kai Tak Airport still in use; the airport closed in 1998. It was Hark's second and last American film; he returned to Hong Kong after ''Knock Off'', feeling unsatisfied with his work in the United States. Tammy Glover is a television producer, film producer, and musician. She served as the VP of Production for Comedy Central from 2007 to 2011, Senior Vice President of Production for FremantleMedia and is currently the Head of Physical Production for TNT, TBS, and TruTV, part of Warner Bros Discovery. "This Town Ain't Big Enough for Both of Us" is a song by American pop band Sparks. Written by Ron Mael, it is the opening track on their third studio album ''Kimono My House'' (1974), and was the lead single from the album. ''The Oblongs'' is an American adult animated sitcom created by Angus Oblong and Jace Richdale. It was Mohawk Productions' first venture into animation.
