Balatonring Team
Balatonring was to be a long motor racing circuit, located in Sávoly, Hungary near Central and South Europe's biggest lake Balaton. The site is located about away from Budapest, the capital city of Hungary. Spain's Balatonring Zrt was to operate the racing circuit with 70% share owned by Worldwide Circuit Management S.L. (WCM) and Magyar Turizmus Zrt. (Hungarian Tourism Board) owning 30%. Spanish investment group Sedesa would have been the constructor at a cost of €80 million and seating for 110,000 to 140,000 would have been constructed. Construction work on the 200 million Euro project had started on 6 November 2008, and the facility was due to host its first MotoGP race on 20 September 2009. Sávoly
Sávoly () is a village in Somogy county, Hungary. About Sávoly Population: 576 Area: 1.19 km2 Fields: 25.65 km2 The road running across the bridge of the Marótvölgyi Channel goes to Sávoly. Water flows very slowly in the channel, since it has a new task recently: it cannot reach the River Zala but serves as the cradle of reservoir II of Small Balaton, a lake. MotorLand Aragón (alternative Spanish name: Circuito de Alcañiz) is a race track used for motorsports located in Alcañiz, Spain. The circuit was designed by German architect Hermann Tilke in conjunction with the British architectural business Foster and Partners. Formula One driver Pedro de la Rosa was a technical and sporting consultant on the project. The Hungarian motorcycle Grand Prix was a motorcycling event that had been part of the Grand Prix motorcycle racing World Championship. History Only two editions were held. The first Hungarian Grand Prix was held in 1990 on the Hungaroring and was the maiden win of Mick Doohan. Before the start of the race, there was a discussion whether or not the race should continue for the 500cc class due to the relatively poor condition of the circuit. The temperatures that day were very warm and the asphalt was bumpy, causing riders to break out in a discussion over cancelling the event. Eventually an agreement was reached but the night before, a thunderstorm soaked the circuit. Now the circuit was not only bumpy but also dangerous due to it being very slippery, causing the riders to erupt in discussions once more.
