The Bahr Aouk River is a river in central Africa. It arises in eastern Chad at the border to Sudan and flows southwest, forming a significant portion of the international boundary between Chad and the Central African Republic. Chari River
The Chari River, or Shari River, is a long river, flowing in Central Africa. It is Lake Chad's main source of water. Geography The Chari River flows from the Central African Republic through Chad into Lake Chad, following the Cameroon border from N'Djamena, where it is joined by its western and principal tributary, the Logone River. Ramsar sites in Chad refer to the six sites designated as Ramsar Wetlands of International Importance in Chad. They cover an area of . They include Lac Fitri, Partie tchadienne du lac Tchad, Plaine de Massenya, Plaines d'inondation des Bahr Aouk et Salamat, and Réserve de faune de Binder-Léré. Lac Fitri The Lac Fitri Ramsar Site measures in size and was established on 13 June 1990. The Lake Fitri expands substantially during the rainy season, varying from year to year.
