Avedøre
Avedøre is a south-western suburb of Copenhagen located in Hvidovre Municipality. Description The city is mostly made up of concrete blocks and row-housing, but some people residing in Avedøre live in detached single-family houses with gardens. One major high-rise block called "Store Hus" (lit. English: Grand House) dominates the suburb's skyline. The city has a relatively high rate of crime and many inhabitants are unemployed . Approximately 16,000 persons live in Avedøre, and approx. 60% of the inhabitants is either immigrant or born by immigrants, mainly from Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon, Spain and Turkey. History Prior to 1 April 1974, Avedøre was an exclave of Glostrup Municipality. On that date, Avedøre was combined with neighboring Hvidovre Municipality. Hvidovre Municipality
Hvidovre Kommune is a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in Region Hovedstaden near Copenhagen on the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in eastern Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 22 km2, and has a total population of 53,416 (1 January 2019). Its mayor is Anders Wolf Andresen, a member of the Green Left (''Socialistisk Folkeparti'') political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council is the town of Hvidovre. Glostrup Municipality
Glostrup Kommune is a suburban municipality (Danish '' kommune'') and town in Region Hovedstaden on the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') approx. 10 km west of Copenhagen in eastern Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 13.31 km², and has a total population of 23,128 (2020). Its Zip code (''Postnummer'') is 2600. Majid (rapper)
Majid (born 1975) is a Danish rapper of Moroccan- Berber origin. Residing in Avedøre near Copenhagen, Denmark he was a contributor to Danish act Outlandish, which also hails from Brøndby Strand. Majid contributed to their tours and performed as a special guest in the warm-up for their acts. S-train (Copenhagen)
The Copenhagen S-train ( da, S-tog), the S-train of Copenhagen, Denmark is a key part of public transport in the city. It is a hybrid urban- suburban rail serving most of the Copenhagen urban area, and is analogous to S-Bahn systems of Berlin, Vienna and Hamburg. The trains connect the Copenhagen inner city with Hillerød, Klampenborg, Frederikssund, Farum, Høje Taastrup and Køge. Brøndby Strand (in English: 'Well Town' Beach) is a suburb in Brøndby Municipality, approximately south-west of central Copenhagen, Denmark Overview Brøndby Strand contains a large housing project, in which 8,000 of the suburb's 11,000 inhabitants live.
