Associazione Ricreativa Culturale Italiana (ARCI) is the biggest Italian non-profit association not linked with the Catholic Church. As of 2016, it has 4796 cultural centers and a million members in all Italian Regions. Since 1996, with the main Italian Trade Unions ( CGIL, CISL, UIL) and with Libera organizes the "Carovana Antimafie" an international project which, during a long trip, includes events about the fight against mafias in different cities. The project started in 1994 less than two years after the murder of Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino with a ten days march from Capaci (near Palermo) to Licata, Sicily. Capaci
Capaci () is a town and ''comune'' in the Metropolitan City of Palermo in Sicily, Italy. In 2011 the comune had a population of 11,045, with a density of 1,804.7 people per square kilometre. The Autostrada A29 (Italy), A29 ''autostrada'' running from Palermo to Punta Raisi Airport, and to the west and south-west of the island, passes through the commune. On 23 May 1992, this road was the scene of the assassination of anti-Mafia judge Giovanni Falcone and those with him, in an explosion known as the Capaci bombing. Corleone
Corleone (; scn, Cunigghiuni or ) is an Italian town and ''comune'' of roughly 11,158 inhabitants in the Metropolitan City of Palermo, in Sicily. Several Mafia bosses have come from Corleone, including Tommy Gagliano, Gaetano Reina, Jack Dragna, Giuseppe Morello, Michele Navarra, Luciano Leggio, Leoluca Bagarella, Salvatore Riina and Bernardo Provenzano. Paolo Borsellino
Paolo Emanuele Borsellino (; scn, Pàulu Borsellino; 19 January 1940 – 19 July 1992) was an Italian judge and prosecuting magistrate. From his office in the Palace of Justice in Palermo, Sicily, he spent most of his professional life trying to overthrow the power of the Sicilian Mafia. After a long and distinguished career, culminating in the Maxi Trial in 1986–1987, on 19 July 1992, Borsellino was killed by a car bomb in Via D'Amelio, near his mother's house in Palermo. Borsellino's life parallels that of his close friend Giovanni Falcone. They both spent their early years in the same neighbourhood in Palermo.
