Arshiya Das (born in 2010) is an Indian chess player from Agartala, Tripura . Biography She was born into a Bengali family in Tripura in 2010. Her parents are Purnendu Das and Arnisha Nath Das. Her father is an employee of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited. Career She is coached by FIDE Masterbr>Prasenjit Dutta She started her career at the age of 5 in a chess competition held in Agartala . She participated in the national championship at 6 years of age. She won a bronze medal in the 31st National under-7 girls chess championship in 2017 at Vijayawada and is currently the under-9 chess champion in India after winning at the National School Championship, 2019 at Raipur. She was the first person from Tripura and other northeastern states of India to have won a gold medal representing India at the Asian School Chess Tournament in 2019. The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar () is a civilian honour in India. FIDE Titles
FIDE titles are awarded by the international chess governing body FIDE (''Fédération Internationale des Échecs'') for outstanding performance. The highest such title is Grandmaster (GM).
