Antonio Sánchez (drummer)
Antonio Sánchez (born November 1, 1971) is a Mexican-American drummer and composer. He is best known for his work with jazz guitarist Pat Metheny and as a composer of the film score for the 2014 film ''Birdman (film), Birdman''. The score earned him a nomination for the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score and BAFTA Award for Best Film Music; he won a 58th Annual Grammy Awards, Grammy Award for Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media, Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media, the Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Score, and the Satellite Award for Best Original Score. Education Sánchez was born in Mexico City, Mexico, and started playing drums at the age of five. By his teen years he had already begun playing professionally. Danilo Pérez (born December 29, 1965) is a Panamanian pianist, composer, educator, and a social activist. His music is a blend of Panamanian roots with elements of Latin American folk music, jazz, European impressionism, African, and other musical heritages that promote music as a multi-dimensional bridge between people.
