Anne-Lise Wang
Anne-Lise Wang (March 2, 1920 – March 20, 1967) was a Norwegian actress. Career Wang performed at Chat Noir and the Oslo New Theater. She also appeared in seven feature films between 1942 and 1958. Personal life Wang was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. She was the daughter of Fritz Wang (1888–1952) and Hertha Olsen (1891–1959). In 1948 she became the second wife of the theatre director Johan Henrik Wiers-Jenssen. Wang died of heart failure at age 47 in Hammerfest, Norway. Johan Henrik Wiers-Jenssen
Johan Henrik "Johe" Wiers-Jenssen (30 April 1897 – 23 March 1951) was a Norwegian newspaper columnist and theatre director. Biography He was born in Kristiania as the son of novelist, playwright and stage producer Hans Wiers-Jenssen (1866–1925) and author Rigmor Nicolowna Danielsen (1874-1934). Wiers-Jenssen was columnist for ''Aftenposten'' from 1917 to 1925, signing with the pseudonyms ''Johe'' and ''Gamin''. He was manager of the cabaret Chat Noir in Oslo from 1926 to 1934, theatre director at the National Theatre from 1934 to 1935, and again manager of Chat Noir from 1935 to 1951. He issued the collection ''Gamins epistler'' in 1921. His book ''Hva jeg vet om kvinden'' (What I Know About the Woman, 1932) consisted of 100 empty pages in nice leather binding. Chat Noir
Chat Noir ( French for 'black cat') is a cabaret and revue theatre in Oslo, Norway. It was established in 1912 by Bokken Lasson. The current director is Tom Sterri. Establishment Chat Noir was established as a cabaret in 1912 by singer Bokken Lasson and her later husband, writer Vilhelm Dybwad, modelled after the Paris cabaret Le Chat Noir from the 19th century. During a visit to Paris in the early 1890s Bokken Lasson had found the inspiration of her life. She experienced the literary cabarets of the time, and performers such as Yvette Guilbert. The next years she toured European cities, wearing a self-composed costume, singing gypsy songs and playing lute, performing on the street, at restaurants, cabarets and occasionally in musical comedies. ''Sankt Hans fest'' (St. John's Festival or Saint Hans' Celebration) is a Norwegian film directed by Toralf Sandø. It premiered on April 7, 1947. It is based on the 1887 novel ''Sankt Hans Fest'' by Alexander Kielland. Plot The film follows the plot of the novel. The dour priest Kruse is played by Tore Foss, who opposes the business establishment's town party, which is planned by Johannes Eckhoff as Garman, Jon Lennart Mjøen as Randulf, Claus Wiese as Holck, Erling Drangsholt as the bank manager, and Sigurd Magnussøn as the county governor. ''I moralens navn'' (The Moral Reputation) is a Norwegian comedy film from 1954 directed by Olav Engebretsen. It stars Eva Lunde, Fridtjof Mjøen, and Anita Thallaug. The film is based on Finn Bø's play with the same name, which premiered at the National Theatre in Oslo on September 22, 1937 and was directed by Bø himself. It was later performed that same year at the Trøndelag Theater. Plot Mona and Egil have grown up with a jumble of parents and stepparents. Now they have a total of three pairs of parents.
