Angola Music Awards
The Angola Music Awards (AMA) is an organization of Mener Group with special partnership of the Angolan Ministry of Culture. It is held annually and included in the official program of Fenacult. The awards highlight the work of the popular artists and creators of Angolan music. AMA's main aim is the cultural value of music of Angola, the promotion of new values and a tribute to creators and performers who have made the history of country music. 2014 edition The 2nd edition gala of the Angola Music Awards was held on September 13, 2014, in Luanda. The show was broadcast nationally and internationally by TPA, African Music Channel, and RTP channels. 2015 edition The 2015 Angola Music Awards was held on May 30, 2015, in the eastern province of Lunda Sul. Televisão Pública de Angola E.P. (Public Television of Angola) or TPA is the national broadcaster of the Southern African state of Angola. It also operates an international channel TPAi (formerly known as TPA Internacional and TPA3). TPA is headquartered in the capital city Luanda and broadcasts in the Portuguese language. RTP África is a Portuguese television channel owned and operated by state-owned public broadcaster Rádio e Televisão de Portugal (RTP). It is available in the Portuguese-speaking African countries, where it is available as a basic cable and satellite channel, with the exception of Cabo Verde, where it is available as a free-to-air channel, distributed by the country's digital terrestrial television network. Anselmo Ralf Andrade Cordeiro (born March 12, 1981), better known as Anselmo Ralph, is an Angolan singer. He is one of the better internationally known Angolan singers and is commonly known for producing romantic songs. Biography Anselmo Ralph was born in Luanda on March 12, 1981. He completed his elementary and high-school years in Angola then migrated to New York to finish college. He majored in Accounting at Borough of Manhattan Community College. Yola Semedo (born 8 May 1978) is an Angolan singer, known for her work both as part of the group Impactus 4 as well as her solo albums. She is known for songs such as "Você me abana", "Não entendo", and "Volta amor".
