Amanda Pennekamp
Amanda Helen Pennekamp (born July 17, 1981) is an American model, television personality, and former beauty queen from Columbia, South Carolina who has competed in the Miss USA and Miss Earth pageants. Pennekamp won the Miss South Carolina USA 2004 title in late 2003 and represented South Carolina in the Miss USA 2004 pageant held in Hollywood, California in April 2004. She placed first runner-up to Shandi Finnessey of Missouri in the nationally televised pageant, the state's highest placement since Lu Parker won the Miss USA title in 1994. In August 2006 Pennekamp won the first Miss Earth USA pageant and succeeded Amanda Kimmel as the United States' representative at the Miss Earth pageant. The pageant took place in Manila, Philippines on November 26, 2006. She made the top 16 and also placed in the top 15 preliminary swimsuit competition. Miss Earth 2006
Miss Earth 2006, the 6th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, was held on November 26, 2006, at the grounds of the National Museum in Manila, Philippines. The pageant was won by Hil Hernández of Chile and crowned by outgoing titleholder, Miss Earth 2005, Alexandra Braun. The event was originally intended to be held in Santiago, Chile on 15 November, and would be the first Miss Earth pageant outside of the Philippines and as well in Asia, but the Chilean organizers did not meet requirements. In the end, pageant owners Carousel Productions decided to hold the pageant in the Philippines, where all previous Miss Earth pageants had been held, despite having less than two months to prepare for the event. More than 100 contestants were expected to compete, but only 82 eventually participated. Nevertheless, it was still the highest turn-out for the event. Lisa Marie Forbes (born May 5, 1981) is an American television personality and beauty queen who competed in the Miss USA pageant in 2004 and Miss Earth 2007. Biography Pageants Forbes was crowned Miss Kansas USA 2004 on November 30, 2003, in Wichita, Kansas. She competed in the pageant for five consecutive years, winning the interview award three times. She was a semi-finalist in 2003 and 2002, third runner-up in 2001 and a non-finalist in 2000. Miss Earth USA
Miss Earth USA (formerly Miss Earth United States) is an annual beauty pageant which selects the United States representative to Miss Earth which is an annual international beauty pageant promoting environmental awareness. The current titleholder is Natalia Salmon from Pennsylvania. Salmon was crowned Miss Earth USA 2022 on January 8, 2022 by the reigning Miss Earth USA, Marisa Butler of Maine during the competition that was held at the Orange County Convention Center's Linda Chapin Theater in Orlando, Florida.
