Alun Jones (born 26 April 1980) is a retired Australian professional tennis player. Jones started playing tennis at age 7. His parents are David, a civil engineer, and Susan. Jones wife is Jill and he has a son called Robbie who has played for Australia in the ANZ Cup in Futsal. Jones also likes playing rugby, soccer, basketball and cricket. Alun played the role of Tom Cavendish in the 2004 movie '' Wimbledon''. Roger Federer successfully defended his title, becoming the first man in the open era to win four consecutive US Open titles. Maria Sharapova was unsuccessful in defending her 2006 title, being upset in the third round by 18-year-old Agnieszka Radwańska of Poland. Justine Henin, the runner-up to Sharapova in 2006, won her second US Open title, this year without losing a set. McDonald's Burnie Men's International
The Burnie International is a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor hardcourts. It is currently part of the ATP Challenger Tour and the ITF Women's Circuit. It is a $75k level tournament for the Challenger Tour and a $60,000 level tournament for the Women's Circuit, although it was previously a $25k level tournament before it was upgraded in 2014. It was held annually in Burnie between 2003 and 2015, but didn't take place in 2016 due to a need for court upgrades. Prior to 2016, the event was also known as the McDonald's Burnie International. Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi
Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi ( Punjabi, ; born 17 Mar 1980) is a Pakistani professional tennis player who specialises in doubles. He is the only Pakistani player ever to reach a Grand Slam final, having done so in both men's and mixed doubles at the 2010 US Open, alongside Rohan Bopanna and Květa Peschke respectively. Qureshi has also reached seven further major semifinals across the two disciplines. He reached his career-high doubles ranking of world No. 8 in June 2011, and has won 18 titles on the ATP Tour, including the 2011 Paris Masters and 2013 Miami Open, with Bopanna and Jean-Julien Rojer respectively. Vasilis Mazarakis ( el, Βασίλης Μαζαράκης, link=no; born 9 February 1980) is a former professional tennis player from Greece.
