Alingpo Language
Alingpo (''a55 le21 pho21'';龙倮贵. 2007. ; also called Yiqing 彝青 or Dry Yi 干彝) is a Loloish language of eastern Yunnan, China. Classification Li, et al. (2011) classify Alingpo as an Eastern Yi language similar to Nasu and Gepo. However, Hsiu (2018)Hsiu, Andrew. 2018Classifications of some lesser-known Lolo-Burmese languages notes that it is a Southeastern Loloish language closely related to Lope, Axi, Azhe, and Azha. Distribution Alingpo is spoken by tens of thousands of people in Shizong County and Luoping County. In Shilin County, Alingpo is spoken in only one village, Yimeidu village 矣美堵村, by about 100 people. Gepo Language
Gepo (Köpu; autonym: ' or ') is a Loloish language of Yunnan, China spoken by 100,000 people. The speakers' autonym is ', while the "-po" of "Gepo" means 'people'. It is spoken in 6 villages of Fumin County, eastern Luquan County, and other adjacent counties to the northeast. Gao (2017)Gao, Katie B. 2017. Shilin County
Shilin Yi Autonomous County (: Sani: ) is an autonomous county, under the jurisdiction of Kunming, the capital of Yunnan province, China. Etymology Lunan Yi Autonomous County () is the former name of Shilin, and usually be called for short as Lunan County (). The name of "Lunan" was first appeared in 1275, Yuan Dynasty, when the administrative division of Lunan Zhou () established. The name Lunan means "South of Middle Lu ()". But in 1998, another said of the word's origin meaning was proposed when Lunan County apply for change the name to Shilin. Luoping County
Luoping County () is located in Qujing City, in eastern Yunnan province, China, bordering Guizhou province to the east and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to the southeast. The county of Luoping in eastern Yunnan is noted for its springtime scenery, when its fields of canola (also known as rapeseed) plants are in full bloom, surrounding the area's mountains with a blanket of golden flowers. Located near where Yunnan meets Guizhou and Guangxi, Luoping is about 240 kilometers east of Kunming. Nasu Language
Nasu (Naisu, Eastern Yi), or Nasu proper, is a Loloish language spoken by a quarter million Yi people of China. Nasu proper and Wusa Nasu are two of six Yi languages recognized by the government of China. Unlike most written Yi languages, Nasu proper uses the Pollard (Miao) script. A distinct form of the Yi script was traditionally used for Wusa, though few can still read it.
