Ali Ansarian
Ali Ansarian ( fa, علی انصاریان; 5 July 1977 – 3 February 2021) was an Iranian professional footballer, actor and presenter. His uncle, Hossein, is a famous Shia cleric. Club career After playing for Persepolis F.C. for several seasons, in July 2006 Ansarian joined the club's fierce rival, Esteghlal F.C. On 22 July 2007, he signed with Azadegan League Steel Azin F.C. for reportedly $150,000. After one season playing in a lower league, he returned to Iran Pro League. International career Ansarian had a few short call-ups to the national team. He made his debut for Iran in October 1998 against Kuwait. Death After struggling almost two weeks with COVID-19 and suffering from medical side effects and organ failures, Ansarian died at Farhikhtegan Hospital in Tehran on 3 February 2021, at age 43. Tehran (; fa, تهران ) is the largest city in Tehran Province and the capital of Iran. Persepolis FC
Persepolis Football Club ( fa, باشگاه فوتبال پرسپولیس, Bâšgâh-e Futbâl-e Perspolis) is an Iranian professional football club based in Tehran, that competes in the Persian Gulf Pro League. Persepolis was founded in 1963 by Ali Abdo and has been in the first division of Iranian football since 1968. Persepolis also had three teams in bowling, basketball and volleyball in its first years of establishment. Persepolis F.C. is the football club of the multisport Persepolis Athletic and Cultural Club. The club is owned by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Hazfi Cup
Hazfi Cup (Jām-e Hazfi; ) is the Iranian football knockout cup competition, run by the Iranian Football Federation. The Iranian football league was not held during the 1980s, hence the winner of Hazfi Cup represented Iran in the Asian Club Championship. After the revive of the league system, the champion of Iranian league qualified for Asian Club Championship and the winner of Hazfi Cup ran for Asian Cup Winners' Cup. However, the Asian Cup Winners' Cup merged with the Asian Champions Cup in 2002–03 to form the AFC Champions League and Iran had been initially given two (and later four) slots in this competitions. The IRIFF decided to award one of Iran's AFC Champions League spots to the winner of the Hazfi Cup, and since then, the winners of Hazfi Cup have always been allocated a spot in the AFC Champions League. Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a contagious disease caused by a virus, the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The Kuwait national football team ( ar, منتخب الكويت لكرة القدم) is the national team of Kuwait and is controlled by the Kuwait Football Association. Kuwait made one World Cup finals appearance, in 1982, managing one point in the group stages. In the Asian Cup, Kuwait reached the final in 1976 and won the tournament in 1980. Shia Islam
Shīʿa Islam or Shīʿīsm is the second-largest branch of Islam. Hossein Ansarian ( fa, حسین انصاریان; born 9 November 1944) is an Iranian Shia cleric. Early life Hossein Ansarian was born on 9 November 1944 in Khvansar, Isfahan, Iran. His father, Muhammad Bagher, was from ''Haj Sheikh'' dynasty that were famous and important family in the Medina and Khvansar. Also, his mother was from ''Sayyid Mostafavi'' family and his nephew, Ali, was a professional footballer and actor. Migration to Tehran When Hossein was three years old, they went to Tehran and lived in Khorasan district where Ali Akbar Borhan, Shia scholar, established Borhan school and Hossein participated in his classes.
