Alf Brustellin
Alf Brustellin (27 July 1940 – 11 November 1981) was an Austrian film director and screenwriter. He directed six films between 1972 and 1979. He co-directed the 1978 film ''Germany in Autumn'', which won the Special Recognition Award at the 28th Berlin International Film Festival. Alf Brustellin worked together with Bernhard Sinkel as a director and screenwriter team. Brustellin was in a relationship with Hannelore Elsner from 1973 until his death. He died in a car accident. Martin Walser
Martin Walser (; born 24 March 1927) is a German writer. Life Walser was born in Wasserburg am Bodensee, on Lake Constance. His parents were coal merchants, and they also kept an inn next to the train station in Wasserburg. He described the environment in which he grew up in his novel ''Ein springender Brunnen'' (English: A Gushing Fountain). From 1938 to 1943 he was a pupil at the secondary school in Lindau and served in an anti-aircraft unit. Hannelore Elsner (; born Hannelore Elstner; 26 July 1942 – 21 April 2019) was a German actress with a long career in television and film. She first performed on stage in Munich, and later starred in popular films and television series such as ''Die Schwarzwaldklinik'' (''The Black Forest Clinic''), and as the lead character, Inspector Lea Sommer, in the series ''Die Kommissarin''. 28th Berlin International Film Festival
The 28th annual Berlin International Film Festival was held from 22 February to 5 March 1978. Director Wolf Donner successfully managed to shift the festival's date from June to February, a change which has remained ever since. This was the first year the festival was held in February. The festival opened with '' Opening Night'' by John Cassavetes and closed with Steven Spielberg's out of competition film ''Close Encounters of the Third Kind''. The jury awarded the Golden Bear to Spain for its contribution to the festival. The three Spanish films which were screened at the festival and won it were short film '' Ascensor'' directed by Tomás Muñoz and feature films '' La palabras de Max'' by Emilio Martínez Lázaro and ''Las truchas'' by José Luis García Sánchez.
