Alexander Stovbur
Alexander Stovbur (May 15, 1943, Omsk – June 4, 2019, Odesa) was a Ukrainian artist, known for his Abstract art, abstract Minimalism (visual arts), minimalism. He was one of the active participants in the Odesa non-conformist movement. Honored Artist of Ukraine. Biography Alexander Stovbur was born on May 15, 1943, in Omsk. In the 1960s in Odesa, the young artists Alexander Anufriev, Vladimir Strelnikov, Valery Basanets, Ludmila Yastreb, Viktor Marinyuk, for the first time in Ukraine, began "non-conformist" traditions of fine art, unacceptable for the prevailing back then aesthetic tastes and views. Artists developed, first of all, their own artistic and aesthetic opposition to art engaged by the state. Valentin Khrushch
Valentin Khrushch (January 24, 1943, Odessa – October 24, 2005, Kimry, Tver region) was a Ukrainian artist, one of the central figures of the Odessa school of unofficial art. Biography Valentin Khrusch was born on January 24, 1943, in occupied Odessa. In the 1950s he studied at the Odessa Art School (teachers Zaitsev, Yegorov, Pavlyuk, Fraerman). Valentin Khrushch was one of the key figures in non-conformist and underground art in Odessa, and then in Moscow, which was developing in the 1960s and 1970s. He was the main organizer of the so-called open-air exhibitions — works were hanging on fences along the streets. Vasiliy (Vasily) Sad (born in 1948) is a Ukrainian abstract painter. He has been an active member "apartment exhibitions" in Odesa, which defended alternative forms of art against the Socialist Realism endorsed by the Soviet Union.
