Albay Gulf is a large gulf in the Bicol Peninsula of Luzon island in the Philippines. Whale shark sightings The place has been one of the tourist spots in the province because of the frequent sightings of whale sharks (known as ''butanding'' in the local vernacular) in the coastal areas. Plankton are the diverse collection of organisms found in Hydrosphere, water (or atmosphere, air) that are unable to propel themselves against a Ocean current, current (or wind). The individual organisms constituting plankton are called plankters. In the ocean, they provide a crucial source of food to many small and large aquatic organisms, such as bivalves, fish and whales.
