Al Quoz
Al Quoz ( ar, القوز), or "El Goze" in Emirati Arabic is a locality / town in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Al Quoz is located in western Dubai. It is bordered to the north by Al Wasl and to the west by Umm Al Sheif, Al Manara and Al Safa, forming a long rectangle between Al Khail and Sheikh Zayed roads. Al Quoz is mainly known for its art galleries, factories, parks, and eateries. Organization Al Quoz consists of a mainly residential area in the northeast and an industrial area in the southwest with four subcommunities each. The ''residential'' areas of Al Quoz 1, 2 and 4 are home to mainly Emirati families. The newest of which is Al Quoz 2 which is an ex-landfill and it is south of Al Khail road towards Meydan and the only area outside the rectangle. Dubai Marina
Dubai Marina ( ar, مرسى دبي), aka Marsa Dubai, is a district in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is an artificial canal city, built along a stretch of Persian Gulf shoreline. As of 2018, it has a population of 55,052. When the entire development is complete, it will accommodate more than 120,000 people in residential towers and villas. It is located on Interchange 5 between Jebel Ali Port and the area which hosts Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, and the American University in Dubai. Alserkal Avenue is an industrial compound hosting warehouses in the industrial zone of Al Quoz, in Dubai. 2008 Dubai Explosion
The 2008 Dubai explosion was an industrial explosion at a fireworks factory in the Al Quoz Industrial area on March 26, 2008, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. One died in the explosion and another died from his injuries at Rashid Hospital. Other than the two killed, two more people were injured in the explosion. Over 20 of the 83 buildings in the area were engulfed in flames.
