Abel Tapia
Abel J. Tapia is an American politician who served as a member of the Colorado House of Representatives from 1999 to 2003 and the Colorado Senate from 2003 to 2010. Tapia left the Senate when he was appointed director of the Colorado Lottery. Career Prior to his time in the General Assembly, Tapia served as elected member of the District-60 school board and as the President of the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce. On March 28, 2014 Tapia announced his candidacy for Colorado's 3rd congressional district of the United States House of Representatives. He was defeated by republican incumbent Scott Tipton. Bill Thiebaut
Bill Thiebaut is an attorney and politician from Pueblo, Colorado. He was elected to four two-year terms in the Colorado House of Representatives, serving from 1987 to 1993, when he was appointed to the Colorado Senate to fill a vacancy following the resignation of Larry E. Trujillo. Following his appointment to the senate, he was elected and re-elected to the senate in 1994 and 1998. In the senate, he served as majority leader in the 2001-2002 session. In 2002, Thiebaut was a candidate for lieutenant governor of Colorado, running with gubernatorial candidate Rollie Heath. Scott Randall Tipton (born November 9, 1956) is an American politician who served as the U.S. representative for from 2011 to 2021. A Republican, he was previously a member of the Colorado House of Representatives from 2009 to 2011. Tipton was first elected to the House in November 2010 when he defeated three-term Democratic incumbent John Salazar, and he was re-elected four times. In 2020, he lost renomination to Republican primary challenger Lauren Boebert in what was considered a major upset. Angela Giron
Angela Giron (born May 12, 1960) is an American politician who was a Democratic member of the Colorado Senate representing District 3 from 2011 until she was recalled on September 10, 2013, by groups opposed to her gun control legislation. Giron is the second ever Colorado legislator to have been successfully recalled in the state's history. Colorado's 3rd congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Colorado. It takes in most of the rural Western Slope in the state's western third portion, with a tendril in the south taking in some of the southern portions of the Eastern Plains.
