''America's Next Top Model'' (abbreviated ''ANTM'' and ''Top Model'') is an American reality television series and interactive competition in which a number of aspiring models compete for the title of "America's Next Top Model" and a chance to begin their career in the modeling industry. Created by Tyra Banks, who also serves as an executive producer, and developed by Ken Mok and Kenya Barris, the series premiered in May 2003, and aired semiannually until 2012, then annually from 2013. The first six seasons (referred to as "cycles") aired on UPN, before UPN merged with The WB to create The CW in 2006. The following sixteen cycles aired on The CW until the series was first cancelled in October 2015. The series was revived in 2016 and has been airing on VH1 ever since. The series was among the highest-rated programs on UPN and was the highest-rated show on The CW from 2007 to 2010. ''Asia's Next Top Model'' (abbreviated as ''AsNTM'') is a reality television show based on the American franchise ''America's Next Top Model'' in which a number of aspiring models compete for the title of ''Asia's Next Top Model'' and a chance to start their career in the modeling industry. The show features models from the entire Far East region (East Asia, South Asia and Southeast Asia). Search for contestants An extensive online search takes place for the selection process. Models of Asian descent or nationality are all allowed to apply, but they must be able to speak and write in English. All applicants are required to be at least 16 and no older than 27 years of age, and at least tall. Contestants who have previously participated in another ''Top Model'' franchise can still apply for the competition as long as they were not the winner, and are not currently under contractual obligations with an agency or endorsing any product or brand. ''Australia's Next Top Model'' is an Australian reality television series which premiered on 11 January 2005 and concluded on 22 November 2016, and was based on Tyra Banks' ''America's Next Top Model''. It was broadcast on the Australian subscription television channel, Fox8. Premise The series featured a group of young female contestants who attended preliminary auditions across Australia with finalists selected to star in the series proper, where they ended up living together in a house for several weeks whilst taking part in lectures, challenges, photo shoots and meetings with members of the modelling industry. ''Austria's Next Topmodel'' is an Austrian reality television series based on Tyra Banks's ''America's Next Top Model''. The show sees a series of aspiring models that compete against each other in different competitions, determining who will win the title of ''Austria's Next Topmodel'', among other prizes, with the hope of a successful career in the modeling industry. History For the first four cycles, the show was hosted by Lena Gercke, the winner of the first cycle of ''Germany's Next Topmodel''. Gercke is the first ''Top Model'' winner to become the host of a ''Top Model'' series. ''Africa's Next Top Model'' is a reality television show and spin-off to ''America's Next Top Model''. It follows the format of the original version, and documents a competition in which a number of aspiring models compete for the title of ''Africa's Next Top Model'' and a chance to start a career in the modeling industry. The show is hosted by model Oluchi Onweagba, and features contestants from countries in Africa. The first season ("cycle") aired on Africa Magic from November 2013 to January 2014.
