Aisha
Aisha ( ar, , translit=ʿĀʾisha bint Abī Bakr; , also , ; ) was Muhammad's third and youngest wife. In Islamic writings, her name is thus often prefixed by the title "Mother of the Believers" ( ar, links=no, , ʾumm al-mu'min, muʾminīn), referring to the description of Muhammad's wives in the Qur'an. Little is known about the early life of Aisha. The ''Ayesha'' was a wooden topsail schooner, which was commandeered by a landing party of the German light cruiser . This landing party was able to escape being taken as prisoners of war, in November 1914, after their ship was destroyed in a battle with the Australian light cruiser . History The ''Ayesha'' was a 30 metre long, 7.5 metre wide three-masted topsail schooner of 97 gross register tons. It originally served as a supply vessel in the British occupation of the Cocos as well as a transport for copra to Batavia in the Dutch East Indies. Ayesha (Italian ''Aiscia'') is a woreda in Somali Region, Ethiopia. The northernmost woreda of the Shinile Zone, Ayesha is bordered on the south by Dembel, on the west by Shinile, on the north by Djibouti, on the east by Somaliland, and on the southeast by the Jijiga Zone.
