Aydın (electoral District)
Aydın is an electoral district of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. 27th Parliament Of Turkey
The 27th Parliament of the Turkish Republic was elected in a snap general election held on 24 June 2018 to the Grand National Assembly. It succeeded the 26th Parliament of Turkey in July 2018 and was due to last until the latter half of 2022. The 600 members, elected through proportional representation from 87 electoral districts of Turkey, are shown in the table below. Selahattin Demirtaş
Selahattin Demirtaş (born 10 April 1973) is a Kurdish politician, lawyer and author. He was the co-leader of the left-wing pro- Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), serving alongside Figen Yüksekdağ from 2014 to 2018. Selahattin Demirtaş announced that he left politics after the May 2023 elections. Demirtaş was the presidential candidate of the HDP in the 2014 presidential election, coming in third place. He led the HDP to gather 13.1% at the June 2015 parliament elections and 10.7% in the snap elections in November 2015, coming 4th in each election. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan (born 26 February 1954) is a Turkish politician who is the 12th and current president of Turkey since 2014. Ekmeleddin Mehmet İhsanoğlu (; born 26 December 1943) is a Turkish chemistry and science history professor, academician, diplomat and politician who was Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) from 2004 to 2014. 2014 Turkish Presidential Election
Presidential elections were held in Turkey on 10 August 2014 in order to elect the 12th President. Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was elected outright with an absolute majority of the vote in the first round, making a scheduled run-off for 24 August unnecessary. The election took place under reforms resulting from the 2007 constitutional referendum, which introduced a direct national vote, rather than election by members of the parliament. Over 55 million people were eligible to vote, both within Turkey and abroad. The Good Party (Turkish language, Turkish: ''İYİ Parti'') is a Turkish nationalism, nationalist, Kemalism, Kemalist and Conservatism, conservative List of political parties in Turkey, political party in Turkey, established on 25 October 2017 by Meral Akşener. Deniz Depboylu
Deniz Depboylu (born 6 June 1968) is a Turkish serving as the Nationalist Movement Party's vice-president. She also served as a Member of Parliament for Aydın, from the November 2015 elections until she lost her seat in the 2018 election. Early career Depboylu was elected as a member of the Nazilli Municipality Council in the 2014 Turkish local elections, and subsequently served as deputy chair of the council.
