27th Parliament Of Turkey
The 27th Parliament of the Turkish Republic was elected in a snap general election held on 24 June 2018 to the Grand National Assembly. It succeeded the 26th Parliament of Turkey in July 2018 and is due to last until the latter half of 2022. The 600 members, elected through proportional representation from 87 electoral districts of Turkey, are shown in the table below. Current structure Some deputies entered the election from the list of other parties with which their party formed electoral alliances. Democratic Party president Gültekin Uysal was in the list of İyi Parti for Afyonkarahisar, Great Unity Party president Mustafa Destici in Justice and Development Party's for Ankara (I), Nazır Cihangir İslam and Abdulkadir Karaduman of Felicity Party for Republican People's Party in İstanbul (III) and Konya respectively. Mustafa Şentop
Mustafa Şentop (born on 6 August 1968) is a Turkish politician from the Justice and Development Party (AKP) who has served as the Member of Parliament for Istanbul in the 24, 25, 26th legislative terms. On 24 February 2019, he was elected as the 29th Speaker of the Grand National Assembly. Early life and career Mustafa Şentop was born on 6 August 1968 in Tekirdağ. He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law and took a master's degree and a doctorate in the field of public law at Marmara University. Democratic Party (Turkey, Current)
The Democrat Party ( tr, Demokrat Parti), abbreviated to DP, is a liberal conservative Turkish political party, established by Ahmet Nusret Tuna in 1983 as the True Path Party ( tr, Doğru Yol Partisi or DYP). It succeeded the historical Democrat Party and the Justice Party, two parties with similar ideologies. Their sister party is the Good Party. There have been four DYP governments since its foundation; one led by Süleyman Demirel, the other three by Turkey's first and only female Prime Minister, Tansu Çiller. The Grand National Assembly of Turkey ( tr, ), usually referred to simply as the TBMM or Parliament ( tr, or ''Parlamento''), is the unicameral Turkish legislature. It is the sole body given the legislative prerogatives by the Turkish Constitution. It was founded in Ankara on 23 April 1920 in the midst of the National Campaign. Felicity Party (Turkey)
The Felicity Party ( tr, Saadet Partisi, SP) is an Islamist Turkish political party. It was founded in 2001, and mainly supported by conservative Muslims in Turkey. It was founded on 20 July 2001 after the Virtue Party (FP) was banned by the Constitutional Court. While the party's reformist wing formed the Justice and Development Party (AKP), the hardliners founded the Felicity Party. Although an Islamist party, its policy platform covers the whole span of political issues in Turkey.
