Recep Tayyip Erdoğan (born 26 February 1954) is a Turkish politician serving as the List of presidents of Turkey, 12th and current president of Turkey since 2014. The Presidential Complex ( tr, Cumhurbaşkanlığı Külliyesi) is the presidential residence of the Republic of Turkey. The complex is located in the Beştepe neighborhood of Ankara, inside the Atatürk Forest Farm. In accordance with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's "New Turkey" concept, it was envisaged that the Çankaya Presidential Mansion would become the prime ministerial complex and the president would move to the newly built palace. It was formally inaugurated as the official residence of the president by Erdoğan on the country's Republic Day, 29 October 2014. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University Diploma Controversy
During Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's campaign for presidency in 2014 and throughout his presidency, there were numerous claims that he didn't graduate from a university and therefore he is ineligible to be President of Turkey, because he was not a university graduate. Similair claims have also been made about Erdogan's high school diploma. These claims refer to Article 101 of the Turkish constitution stating that presidential candidates are required to have completed their tertiary education. The article however doesn't narrow down tertiary education to universities only, allowing other options such as trade schools and colleges. Berat Albayrak ( born 21 February 1978) is a Turkish businessman and former politician, and the son-in-law of Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. He is a former CEO of Çalık Holding.
