Awele Maduemezia
Awele Augustine Maduemezia (7 August 1934 – 20 February 2018) was a Nigerian professor of Physics, mathematician, researcher and educator. He was former Vice Chancellor of Ambrose Alli University. He also served as president of the Nigerian Association of Mathematical Physics. In 1995, he was elected as president of the Nigerian Academy of Science to succeed Professor Anthony Afolabi Adegbola. He died in February 2018. Early life Awele Augustine Maduemezia was born in Bukuru, Dorowa Babuje, Jos, Plateau State in 1934. He was the second child of Mgotubo Selina Onyebashi and Chisimbili Charles Maduemezia. They were both natives of Asaba situated in Delta State but Mgotubo was from Umu-Agu while Chisimbili was from Umu-Daike. Bukuru
Bukuru is a city located on the Jos Plateau in Nigeria. Theoretical Physics
Theoretical physics is a branch of physics that employs mathematical models and abstractions of physical objects and systems to rationalize, explain and predict natural phenomena. This is in contrast to experimental physics, which uses experimental tools to probe these phenomena. The advancement of science generally depends on the interplay between experimental studies and theory. International Association Of Mathematical Physics
The International Association of Mathematical Physics (IAMP) was founded in 1976 to promote research in mathematical physics. It brings together research mathematicians and theoretical physicists, including students. The association's ordinary members are individual researchers, although associate membership is available to organizations and companies. The IAMP is governed by an executive committee elected by the ordinary members. The association sponsors the International Congress on Mathematical Physics (ICMP), which takes place every three years, and it also supports smaller conferences and workshops. There is a quarterly news bulletin.
