Astrid Roelants (; born 18 April 1983), known professionally as Ameerah, is a Belgian singer and songwriter based in Los Angeles, United States. Early life Roelants was raised by adoptive parents in Leuven, Flemish Brabant. She is of Tunisian and Algerian descent. Career In 2003, Roelants was a contestant in the first season of , the Belgian version of the ''Idol'' franchise. She was eliminated before the live shows. In 2004, she competed to represent Belgium in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 with the song "Don't Stop the Music", placing seventh in the national final. With the song she achieved chart success in Belgium. In 2009, her single "The Sound of Missing You" became an international hit, reaching number three on the ''Billboard'' Hot Dance Airplay chart in the United States. Ultratop is an organization which generates and publishes the official record charts in Belgium. Ultratop is a non-profit organization, created on the initiative of the Belgian Entertainment Association (BEA), the Belgian member organization of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry. Two parallel sets of charts are concurrently produced and published, one on behalf of Belgium's mainly Dutch-speaking Flanders region, and the other catering to the nation's mainly French-speaking region of Wallonia. History The chart came about as a result of the small but influential impact of electronic dance music on the radio in the United States and the stations that program it. Zachary Scott Poor is an American singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles, California who first appeared on the music scene in early 2010 with his EP, "Let's Just Call it Heartbreak", a collaboration with Glee producer Adam Anders. Schiller () is a German electronic music band that rose to fame in 1998 and is named after the German poet and dramatist Friedrich Schiller. Originally, it was a duo consisting of Christopher von Deylen () and Mirko von Schlieffen. Around 2001 or 2002, von Schlieffen left the band, leaving von Deylen the solo member. Durron Maurice Butler (born April 30, 1967), known as Turbo B, is an American musician, rapper and beatboxer. He was once the frontman of the German electronic music group Snap! After completing a period of service with the United States Army in Germany, Butler went on tour with The Fat Boys. Regi Penxten (born Reginald Paul Stefan Penxten on 4 March 1976) is a Belgian DJ and record producer, of many eurodance and trance projects in Belgium, including Milk Inc. and Sylver. Better known by his mononym Regi, he has released three solo albums, which all reached the top ten of the Belgian album charts: ''Best Of'' (2005), ''Registrated'' (2007) and ''Registrated 2'' (2010).
