Assadullah Wafa
Assadullah Wafa (born Kandahar) is the former governor of the Afghan province of Helmand, and formerly governor of Kunar Province of Afghanistan and a previous governor of the Paktia Province where he was succeeded by Hakim Taniwal. His first name is sometimes spelled "Asadullah". He was born in Kandahar, Afghanistan. Assadullah is best known for his time as governor of Paktia when he led a group of tribal elders to work with the United States government to establish an amnesty program for Taliban fighters in an attempt to bring an end to the fighting by separating the rank-and-file troops from their leadership. Raz Mohammed Dalili (born 1959) was the former governor of Paktia Province in Afghanistan from 2002 until 2004. His arrival as governor in the capital Gardez was delayed as local militia leader, and previous governor, Pacha Khan Zadran refused to let him into the city of Dalili eventually successfully served for two years. Mohammad Gulab Mangal ( ps, محمد ګلاب منګل) (born 3/4/1957) is an Afghan politician. Since October 2016, he has been serving as the senior adviser minister of borders and tribal affairs for the president of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. Mohammad Daoud (Afghan Governor)
Mohammad Daoud (born 1957) was the governor of Helmand in Afghanistan until he was removed from his post for his ties to the opium trade. Daoud was appointed in December 2005, and replaced in December 2006 after the insistence of the British ISAF troops. The U.S. used the warlords to help them hunt Al Qaeda and the Taliban and it is rumored this extended to ignoring their involvement in the production and sale of opium.
