Sahara One is an Indian Hindi general entertainment channel based in New Delhi. It is operated by Sahara India Pariwar. History Sahara One was launched as Sahara TV on 28 March 2000, which later in April 2003 was renamed as Sahara Manoranjan. As to compete with other channels and attract more audience, the channel once again changed its name to Sahara One on 10 October 2004. Ganga Kii Dheej
''Ganga Kii Dheej'' is an Indian television drama series which premiered on 15 November 2010 on Sahara One. The story dealt with the ordeals faced by young unmarried women in a fictional village called Kaliganj in West Bengal. Plot The story revolves around a young girl named Pakki in Kaliganj where all the girls are protected under strict surveillance before they are married. This results in a lack of freedom of their own until marriage. But before they can start their married life, they must go through a test of purity (Ganga kii Dheej). The test is to find out if the girl is pure or not and if not, she has committed some sort of impure thing or had an impure thought in her life. This is carried out by Maha Mai, who asks that the bride to be to walk 25 steps holding her hand, while underwater. Leena Jumani
Leena Jumani is an Indian actress and model, best known as Tanushree "Tanu" Mehta in Kumkum Bhagya. She played Khemi, a poor village girl, in the television series '' Bandini''. This was followed with the role of Suhasi in the show '' Koi Aane Ko Hai''. She appeared in a special episode of '' Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna'' and in ''Aahat'', and had a cameo in '' Tere Liye''.
