Ashutosh Tudu
Ashutosh Tudu is an Indian Maoist politician and politburo member of Communist Party of India (Maoist). Career Tudu is popularly known as Motilal Soren alias Ashok. He belongs to Kolharia village in Dhanbad district of Indian state of Jharkhand. Tudu joined the Maoist Communist Centre of India (MCCI) in 1999. After the formation of Communist Party of India (Maoist) in 2004, he became a prominent member of Central Committee and in charge of Eastern bureau of the Central Military Commission of the party. Thereafter he became the member of Politburo, the highest decision making body of CPI (Maoist). Tudu was allegedly involved with the attack in police armoury of Nayagarh town in February 2008 in which at least 14 people, including 13 policemen, were killed. Anti-revisionism is a position within Marxism–Leninism which emerged in the 1950s in opposition to the reforms of Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev. Where Khrushchev pursued an interpretation that differed from his predecessor Joseph Stalin, the anti-revisionists within the international communist movement remained dedicated to Stalin's ideological legacy and criticized the Soviet Union under Khrushchev and his successors as state capitalist and social imperialist. The term Stalinism is also used to describe these positions, but it is often not used by its supporters who opine that Stalin simply synthesized and practiced orthodox Marxism and Leninism. Saranda Forest
Saranda forest is a dense forest in the hilly region of West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum, Saraikela district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. This area used to be the private hunting reserve of the Singh Deo family (the erstwhile royal family of Saraikela). The forest covers an area of 820 km². Saranda (Serengda) literally means "800 hills in local language." Ho people inhabit the area, which is dotted with iron ore mining towns including Gua, Chiria, Kiriburu and Noamundi. Sal (Shorea robusta) is the most important tree in the area and it seems to have a preference for the rocky soil of the area. Although sal is a deciduous tree and sheds its leaves in early summer, the forest undergrowth is generally evergreen, which has such trees as mangoes, jamun, jackfruit, and piar.
