Ashley Hall (golfer)
Ashley Hall (born 3 November 1983) is an Australian professional golfer. He played on the Web.com Tour from 2013 to 2015. He was in a playoff in successive events in 2013, the United Leasing Championship and the Utah Championship, but lost on both occasions. At the end of 2016 he lost another playoff in the Emirates Australian Open and was 4th in the Australian PGA Championship two weeks later. His runner-up position in the Australian Open gave him an entry into the 2017 Open Championship. Hall played in the 2012 Open, where he qualified through International Final Qualifying. The New Zealand PGA Championship is a golf tournament on the PGA Tour of Australasia. It is currently known for sponsorship reasons as the SEC NZ PGA Championship. The Open Championship
The Open Championship, often referred to as The Open or the British Open, is the oldest golf tournament in the world, and one of the most prestigious. Founded in 1860, it was originally held annually at Prestwick Golf Club in Scotland. Later the venue rotated between a select group of coastal links golf courses in the United Kingdom. Masters Tournament
The Masters Tournament (usually referred to as simply The Masters, or the U.S. Masters outside North America) is one of the four major championships in professional golf. Scheduled for the first full week of April, the Masters is the first major of the year, and unlike the others, it is always held at the same location, Augusta National Golf Club, a private course in the city of Augusta, Georgia, in the southeastern United States. The Masters was started by amateur champion Bobby Jones and investment banker Clifford Roberts. Steven Craig Alker (born 28 July 1971) is a professional golfer from New Zealand who plays on the PGA Tour Champions, where he has won five events. He won the season-long 2022 Charles Schwab Cup on the PGA Tour Champions. Early life and professional career Alker was born in Hamilton, New Zealand. Alker turned professional in 1995 and has competed on several tours around the world. He has been a member of the PGA Tour of Australasia since 1995. He played on the European Tour in 1998 and 1999, also competing on Europe's developmental Challenge Tour in 1999. Ben Martin (born August 26, 1987) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Professional career As an amateur, Martin played in three major championships and was the runner-up at the 2009 U.S. Amateur. Having turned professional in 2010, he won in his second professional event, and finished runner-up at qualifying school for the PGA Tour at the end of the year. Willard Jeremiah "Billy" Hurley III (born June 9, 1982) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour. Early life Hurley grew up in Leesburg, Virginia, the oldest of four children of Bill and Cheryl Hurley. He attended Loudoun County High School. During his senior year in 2000, he was one of 17 golfers named honorable mention All-Met (Washington, D.C. metro area) He was named all-state in Virginia. The Victorian PGA Championship is a golf tournament played in Victoria, Australia. It has been part of the PGA Tour of Australasia each season since 2009. It is the oldest of the state professional championships, having been first held in 1922. History The first Victorian Professional Championship was held in November 1922 and was open to any professional in Australia and New Zealand. It was a 72-hole stroke-play event with 36 holes played at Royal Melbourne on 6 November and 36 holes played at Victoria Golf Club two day later. It attracted a number of New South Wales players as well as the professionals from Victoria. Billy Iles and Dan Soutar, one of the NSW players, were tied on 158 after the first day's play.
