Aron Elís Þrándarson
Aron Elís Þrándarson (born 10 November 1994) is an Icelandic footballer who plays for Danish Superliga club OB as a midfielder. Career Club On 6 October 2014, Aron signed a three-year contract with Norwegian Eliteserien side Aalesunds FK. Aron made his debut for Aalesund on 3 June 2015, in a 1-0 Norwegian Cup defeat to IL Hødd, with his league debut coming 4 days later in a 2–1 victory over FK Haugesund. On 23 December 2019, Aron signed a three and a half-year contract with Danish side OB. The 2017 Eliteserien was the 73rd completed season of top-tier football in Norway. The season began on 1 April 2017 and ended on 26 November 2017, not including play-off matches. This was first season of Eliteserien as rebranding from Tippeligaen. Rosenborg were the defending champions, while Kristiansund and Sandefjord entered as the promoted teams from the 2016 1. divisjon. The 2017 season saw the name of the league change from Tippeligaen (named after sponsor Norsk Tipping) to Eliteserien, a non-sponsor affiliated name controlled by the Football Association of Norway. The 2016 Tippeligaen was the 72nd completed season of top-tier football in Norway. The competition began on 11 March 2016. Due to the 2016 UEFA European Championship, there was a break between the rounds played on 29 May and 3 July. The decisive matches of the home-and-away season were played on 6 November 2016. A promotion/relegation play-off between the third-from-bottom team of the Tippeligaen and the winner of the promotion play-offs of the 2016 1. divisjon was contested on 30 November and 4 December 2016. The 2014 Úrvalsdeild karla, also known as ''Pepsi-deild karla'' for sponsorship reasons, was the 103rd season of top-flight Icelandic football. The Úrvalsdeild karla (, Men's Select Division) is the highest men's football league in Iceland. It has been played since 1912. Because of the harsh winters in Iceland, it is generally played in the spring and summer (May to September). It is governed by the Football Association of Iceland (KSI) and has 12 teams. By end of season 2015–2016, UEFA ranked the league No. 35 in Europe. From 27 April 2009, the league has had an active agreement on the league's name rights with Ölgerðin, the Icelandic franchisee for Pepsi.
