Arman Adikyan
Arman Adikyan ( hy, Արման Ադիկյան, born 10 November 1984) is an Armenian Greco-Roman wrestling, Greco-Roman wrestler. He competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in the Wrestling at the 2008 Summer Olympics – Men's Greco-Roman 66 kg, men's Greco-Roman 66 kg division. Adikyan was a member of the Armenian Greco-Roman wrestling team at the 2010 Wrestling World Cup. The Armenian team came in third place. Adikyan personally won a silver medal. Vagharshapat ( hy, Վաղարշապատ ) is the 4th-largest city in Armenia and the most populous municipal community of Armavir Province, located about west of the capital Yerevan, and north of the closed Turkish-Armenian border. Wrestling World Cup is an international wrestling competition among teams representing member nations of the United World Wrestling (UWW) the sport's global governing body. The cups have been conducted by FILA (the UWW predecessor) every year since the 1973 tournament. The World Cup began as a dual-meet competition for the top teams on each continent, but now features the top teams in the rankings of the previous year's world championships. Men's Greco-Roman 66 kilograms competition at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China, was held on August 13 at the China Agricultural University Gymnasium. This Greco-Roman wrestling competition consists of a single-elimination tournament, with a repechage used to determine the winner of two bronze medals. The two finalists face off for gold and silver medals. Each wrestler who loses to one of the two finalists moves into the repechage, culminating in a pair of bronze medal matches featuring the semifinal losers each facing the remaining repechage opponent from their half of the bracket.
