Arab Club Basketball Championship
The Arab Club Championship is an annual basketball tournament for Arab teams. The competition is organised by the Arab Basketball Confederation (ABC). Each season is typically held in October and is held in one venue. The tournament typically features 16 to 18 teams. Arab Basketball Confederation
The Arab Basketball Confederation (ABC) is a basketball association for countries in the Arab world. It organises the Arab Basketball Championship for national teams in the men and women categories, as well as club championships. History It was founded in 1956 with nine founding members: Lebanon, Tunisia, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, Algeria and Egypt. Al Ahly (basketball Club)
Al Ahly is an Egyptian basketball club, located in Cairo, Cairo Governorate, that plays in the Egypt Basketball Super League. Currently, two of its athletes play for the Egypt national basketball team. The team is part of the multi-sports club of the same name. The club has won six Egyptian Super League titles, eleven Egyptian Cup titles. Internationally, Al Ahly has won the FIBA Africa Champions Cup in 2016, and the Arabophone Championship in 2021. History Ahly Basketball team was founded in 1930. It is one of the oldest basketball clubs in Egypt and in Africa. The team played his first game against Al Ittihad Alexandria in front of the Egyptian King Farouq in 1937. Al Ahly won its first Egyptian national championship in the 1988–89 season. In the 2021–22 season, Ahly won its sixth national title and thus qualified for the 2023 season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). It will be Al Ahly's debut in the new African competition. Kazma SC (basketball)
Kazma Sporting Club (), also known as simply Kazma, is a Kuwaiti professional basketball team based in Kuwait City. It plays in the Kuwaiti Division 1, the national top-flight league. The home arena of Kazma is the Shaikh Saad Alabdullah Sport Hall Complex. Founded in 1964, the club has been the runner-up in the Arab Club Basketball Championship in 1990 and finished in the third place of the FIBA Asia Champions Cup twice (1990 and 1991).
