Aowanda National Forest Recreation Area
Aowanda National Forest Recreation Area () is a forest located in Ren'ai Township, Nantou County, Taiwan. Geology The forest spans over an area of 2,787 hectares at an altitude of 1,100-2,600 meters. It is divided into the waterfall zone, forest park, maple area and pine tree site. It is located at the back of Wanda Reservoir. It is home to more than 200 species of birds. Facilities The forest features a visitor center, bird watching platform and benches. Bridge in the forest is Aowanda Suspension Bridge. Transportation The forest is accessible by bus from Taichung TRA Station or Taichung HSR Station through Provincial Highway 14. Ren'ai Township () is a mountain indigenous township in Nantou County, Taiwan. It has a population total of 15,850 and an area of 1,273.5312 km2, making it the second largest township by area in the county after Xinyi Township. Nantou County
Nantou County (; Hokkien POJ: ''Lâm-tâu-koān''; Hakka PFS: ''Nàm-thèu-yen'') is the second largest county of Taiwan by area, located in the central part of the country. Aowanda Suspension Bridge
The Aowanda Suspension Bridge () is a suspension bridge in Aowanda National Forest Recreation Area, Ren'ai Township, Nantou County, Taiwan. Technical specifications The bridge spans over a length of 180 meters with 90 meters of clearance below it. It is equipped with 1.4 meters' height of metal mesh barrier on both sides of the bridge. Taichung Railway Station
Taichung station () is a railway station in Taichung, Taiwan served by Taiwan Railways Administration. It is served by all TRA services along the route. History The station was originally constructed in 1905 in a wooden building architectural style and started its operation in 1908. In 1917, it was rebuilt as a red brick structure with Renaissance architectural style. On 16 October 2016, the elevated station was inaugurated in which the ground-level station was shut down. The first train that arrived at the elevated station was at 06:28. Taichung HSR Station
Taichung HSR () is a railway and metro station in Wuri District, Taichung, Taiwan. It is served by Taiwan High Speed Rail and the Green Line of the Taichung Metro. The station is adjacent to Xinwuri Station of Taiwan Railway Administration. History The station is elevated and has two island platforms. Since all services stop at this station, the passing tracks located between platforms are rarely used to connect trains with the depot to the south. The station has a total area of . Provincial Highway 14 (Taiwan)
Provincial Highway 14 is an east–west highway that connects Changhua City in Changhua County with Ren'ai, an aboriginal township in Nantou County. The highway is known as Zhongtan Highway (中潭公路) from Caotun to Puli, and Puwu Highway from Puli to Ren'ai. The total length is 99.0 kilometers. Route description The highway begins at the intersection of Provincial Highway 1 in Changhua City. The route continues eastbound towards the rural township of Fenyuan and enters Nantou County. After passing through the junctions of Freeway 3 and Provincial Highway 63, the highway enters downtown Caotun and becomes Zhongtan Highway. The stretch of highway between Caotun and Puli runs parallel to Freeway 6. In Puli the highway has a brief concurrency with Provincial Highway 21 before the latter turns southbound.
