Anxhela Peristeri (; born 24 March 1986) is an Albanian singer, songwriter and model. She emerged as the winner of the 19th edition of in 2017. After winning the 59th edition of in 2020, Peristeri was designated as the Albanian representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. Life and career 1986–2015: Early life and career beginnings Anxhela Peristeri was born on 24 March 1986 into an Albanian family of the Eastern Orthodox faith in the city of Korçë, then People's Republic of Albania, present Albania. There, she began to pursue music and attended high school in her elementary years studying violin. Following this, the singer continued her studies and enrolled at the Jordan Misja Lyceum in Tirana. RTV21 (an acronym for Radiotelevizioni 21; English: Radiotelevision 21) is a broadcaster and media company based in Pristina, Kosovo, which includes a radio (est. May 11, 1998), a television station (est. September 22, 2000), and six sister stations. Its launch in online radio made it the first Albanian station to air over the internet. Kënga Magjike 2019
The Kënga Magjike 2019 was the 21st edition of the annual music contest Kënga Magjike and was held on 4, 5 and 7 December 2019 at the Pallati i Kongreseve in Tirana broadcast live on Televizioni Klan (TV Klan). Ardit Gjebrea and Adrola Dushi were the hosts of the three live shows. The proceeds from the ticket sales was donated to the people affected by the 2019 earthquake in Albania. Anna Oxa, as she stated, bought a ticket and sat with the public in the first semi-final as an act of solidarity. 2019 Albania Earthquake
Northwestern Albania was struck by a magnitude 6.4 earthquake with an epicentre 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) west-southwest of Mamurras, at 03:54 CET (UTC+1) on 26 November 2019.
