Anne Haanpää
Anne-Kristiina Haanpää (born 25 May 1959) is a retired Finland, Finnish ice hockey Forward (ice hockey), forward and Referee (ice hockey), referee. Haanpää represented Finland women's national ice hockey team, Finland at four IIHF World Women's Championships and helped Finland capture bronze medals each time, in 1990 IIHF Women's World Championship, 1990, 1992 IIHF Women's World Championship, 1992, 1994 IIHF Women's World Championship, 1994, and 1997 IIHF Women's World Championship, 1997 In 20 games played across four world championships, she scored 8 goals and added 6 assists. Haanpää was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame Finland as #227 under the referee category in recognition of her contributions as a trailblazer for women in on-ice officiating. Ilves Naiset Players
Ilves (; Finnish for " Lynx") is a Finnish professional ice hockey team based in Tampere. They play in the Liiga at the Tampere Deck Arena. The colors of Ilves, green, yellow, and black, were taken from what was then the coat of arms of the city of Tampere. History With sixteen championships, Ilves is the second most successful hockey team in the Finnish championship league, the Liiga, after their local rival Tappara. The club was founded in the spring of 1931, and it played its first game against Tampereen Palloilijat the next winter. The Finnish Ice Hockey Association ( fi, Suomen Jääkiekkoliitto, sv, Finlands Ishockeyförbund) is the governing body of ice hockey in Finland. In 1927, the Finnish Skating Association introduced ice hockey as part of its program and, through that organization, Finland joined the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) in 1928. The Finnish Ice Hockey Association was formed on 20 January 1929 and featured seventeen clubs. Hockey Hall Of Fame Finland
The Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame is housed in and administered by the ('Finnish Ice Hockey Museum'), a part of the Vapriikki Museum Centre, in Tampere, Finland. IIHF World Women's Championships
The IIHF World Women's Championship (WW or WWC), officially the IIHF Ice Hockey Women's World Championship, is the premier international tournament in women's ice hockey. It is governed by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The official world competition was first held in 1990, with four more championships held in the 90s. From 1989 to 1996, and in years that there was no world tournament held, there were European Championships and in 1995 and 1996 a Pacific Rim Championship. From the first Olympic Women's Ice Hockey Tournament in 1998 onward, the Olympic tournament was played instead of the IIHF Championships.
