Annan (film)
''Annan'' () is a 1999 Tamil language drama film directed by Anu Mohan. The film stars Ramarajan and Swathi, with Manivannan, R. Sundarrajan, newcomer Vaasan, newcomer Apoorva, Vadivukkarasi and Ponvannan playing supporting roles. The film, produced by T. Seenuvasan, had musical score by Ilaiyaraaja and was released on 29 March 1999. Plot Velan ( Ramarajan) is the manager of the village market and is a respected man. He loves dearly his only sister Lakshmi (Apoorva) who is the village's school teacher. Sundari ( Swathi) and her father ( R. Sundarrajan) come to Velan's village. Velan and Sundari fall in love with each other whereas Lakshmi and the rural development officer Selvam (Vaasan) fall in love with each other. In the meantime, Velan and the village chief Rasappan ( Manivannan) decide to arrange the marriage between Lakshmi and the wicked Rasappan's son Manikkam ( Ponvannan). Anu Mohan (Tamil Actor)
Anu Mohan (born as David Stanley, on 3 December 1957) is an Indian actor and director who has worked in Tamil language films. Beginning his career as a director, Anu Mohan has gone on to play secondary comedy roles in films, notably portraying a character in ''Padayappa'' (1999). Career Anu Mohan completed his mechanical engineering and started his career in the late 1980s, making two feature films '' Idhu Oru Thodar Kathai'' (1987) and ''Ninaivu Chinnam'' (1989). He appeared in acting roles in the 1990s and notably portrayed a comedy role in K. S. Ravikumar's ''Padayappa'' (1999), which garnered him further offers during the period. In the 2000s, he appeared in primarily low budget films portraying a comedian. He was recalled by K. S. Ravikumar to feature in ''Lingaa'' (2014). Arunmozhi ( ta, அருண்மொழி) (also called Napoleon Selvaraj) (born 1951) is an Indian playback singer and well-known flutist. He has sung songs composed by leading Indian film industry music directors, including Ilaiyaraaja, Shankar Ganesh, Deva, S. A. Rajkumar, Viji Manuel, Swararaj, Harris Jayaraj, Sirpy, Vidyasagar, Soundaryan, Karthik Raja, Siva, Masa, Dhina and Yuvan Shankar Raja. He has also performed in live concerts across the world. Bhavatharani Raja is an Indian singer and music composer. She is the daughter of Ilaiyaraaja and her brothers are the noted film composers Karthik Raja and Yuvan Shankar Raja.
